Our Pro Bono Work

In addition to her legal practice, Helle finds time to work pro bono in various legal fields which have captured her imagination.

For many years she was a member of the National Committee of the Association of Women Solicitors, and she worked extensively with the Returners Course.

This was a weeks residential course held in Cambridge every September, where solicitors (both men and women) who had been out of private practice for various reasons (raising children or other family responsibilities, working abroad, illness, working in industry or local government) were given an intensive update on changes which had occurred over the last ten years and encouraged to get back into private practice.

Helle also writes legal articles for magazines, both in England and abroad, and is presently working on a book to guide the foreign visitor through the esoteric vagaries of English property law.

Helle was also for many years on the Editorial Board of LINK, the magazine of the AWS cirulated bi-monthly to all women solicitors.
